A day in Beaune: the Maison Louis Jadot, founded in 1859, will open its doors to you. This wine merchant possesses modern cellars, but also ancient ones, in which the Greater Burgundy AOC wines are resting. It is also a site of historical value with the Jacobins Convent not open to public. You can learn all about wine and wine-growing on a personalised visit with a wine-tasting and lunch at the end. In the afternoon we suggest a visit of the town and the Hôtel-Dieu museum.
Enjoybeaune can combine picturesque villages such as St Romain and Bouilland with the “route des Grands Crus”. The Côtes de Beaune or the Côtes de Nuits with nature and vineyards for a view...a magnificent way of discovering countryside full of contrasts and famous sites: Clos de Vougeot, the château de la Rochepot. A picnic break for getting to know Burgundy specialties in a surprising and breath-taking site. (Depending on the time of year)
Enjoybeaune can offer you cooking lessons where you can prepare regional specialties in a 1900’s style building in Beaune. A convivial lunch where you can enjoy your home-made dishes accompanied by the appropriate wine. Afterwards, a visit of the town and the Hôtel Dieu will help you to wander around.
Two important religious currents that have marked Europe’s religious past, were borned in this region deeply marked by spirituality, the Benedictine and Cistercian orders. ...A day to discover the amazing Abbey of Fontenay passing by Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, a mediaeval village, renowned for its production of aniseed and its intact 9th century crypt.
